Edmondson Hall is actively involved in supporting charities and the local community in a number of ways. Edmondson Hall both as a firm and through its employees also participate in a variety of events and functions which support local voluntary organisations, community groups and charities in Newmarket and the surrounding area. This is now done under the banner of the Edmondson Hall Charitable Foundation.
Mark Edmondson is the Chairman of The Newmarket Festival Community Interest Company, and Edmondson Hall assist the Newmarket Festival with legal work on a pro bono basis.
The Newmarket Festival is a social and community event organising and fundraising project based in Newmarket. It has raised thousands of pounds since it started for the community in Newmarket and its surrounding areas and is in the process of converting to a charity. Mark regularly gives up his time to assist with the organisation of events for fundraising, and chairs a monthly meeting of business leaders who sit on the Board.

On 25th July 2019 Edmondson Hall hosted a table at the Ashes Legends Charity Sporting Dinner. Mark Edmondson, Simon Gummer, Michael Drake, Christopher Pitchers, James Southward and James Crussell were in attendance together with guests. The Dinner was a black tie affair with a charity auction conducted by Derek (Tommo) Thompson, Graham Gooch OBE and Jeff Thomson were guest speakers. The dinner raised around £7,500 for The Newmarket Festival.
On 22nd June 2019, Edmondson Hall entered a team of 15 employees (including their family members) into the first Newmarket Midsummer Night 10k Walk. The Walk raised money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
On 5th June 200 people attended the Edmondson Hall sponsored parade of Stallions, Mares and Foals at Kirsten Rausing’s Lanwades Stud.
Approximately £12,000 was raised at the event for the National Horse Racing Museum.

Edmondson Hall sponsored two tables and a race at the Newmarket Business Day on Friday 17th May at the Rowley Mile Racecourse.
Newmarket Business Day was Mark Edmondson’s concept over 10 years go has raised thousands of pounds for charity. This year the day raised £640 for EACH (East Anglian Children’s Hospice).
Mark Edmondson and Debbie Hargreaves attended the QIPCO Guineas Preview Lunch at the Rowley Mile in 1st May 2019. 6 years ago Mark Edmondson and Jockey Club Racecourses’ Eastern Director Amy Starkey decided to host an industry lunch to launch Guineas week.
This year over £7000 was raised for the Newmarket Festival.
Edmondson Hall have sponsored various individuals and organisations during 2018, donating over £1,750.
Edmondson Hall sponsored the Winter Ladies Day at Huntingdon Racecourse on 24th November 2018 and donated a race to the Animal Health Trust to assist in promotion and awareness of their cause.
Organised by Julia Martin, the staff raised money by wearing something pink, baking and selling cakes and taking part in other fundraising activities. Over £100 was raised on the day.
Members of the MS society receive free teas and coffees all day.

Edmondson Hall have sponsored various individuals and organisations during 2017, donating over £1,300.
Edmondson Hall hosted a Charity night for David (mouse) Cooper to promote his artwork, whilst raising money for Racing Welfare and The Injured Jockeys Fund.
Over £950 was raised for the charities from the proceeds of the artwork sold.

Each year Edmondson Hall offer placements to both Newmarket Festival Interns and students looking for work experience. The placements offer experience in a variety of different areas of law.
